Who we are
AFW (French Wakeboard Association) is an organization for french development of wakeboarding, created in September 2000 by riders, for riders.
What we think
We believe that demos, introductions and popular contests are the correct way to promote this sport.
Using standards of the World Wakeboard Council (IWSF) and the WWA, we choose best ways, excluding political considerations. Extreme sports spirit leads in each of our activities.
What we do
- AFW organized The European Boardstock since 2003 and sent a French Team to the Wake World Championships in Australia, Hungary, Germany...
- We produce wakeboard teaching videos in french, such as Cheap Coach (2006) and web videos since 2003 (go to Videos Section)
- And of course, Wakeboard.asso.fr, our website: contains information about wakeboarding and French riders association (news, videos, links...)
